This research project focuses on developing a Nanoparticle-in-Microgel system for the controlled delivery and release of drugs for pulmonary diseases. This project looks at how to rectify the unmet need for proper and effective drug delivery to the deep lung environment to treat pulmonary illnesses. My main task was to direct my focus to the microgel fabrication protocol of this overall system. In my work, I looked at things like protocol optimization, weight/volume adjustments, and degradation studies.
